COCKTAIL PARTY MENU
If you know me, you know I would much rather have a cocktail party, than a formal dinner party.
I love the variety of appetizers and drinks you can serve and the fact that your guests don't have to be tied down to one main meal. With some careful planning, choosing the right appetizers for a party can be so much fun and creative.
Today's blog post is dedicated to appetizers! We'll look at three different parties and what appetizers would go great with it. You can absolutely mix and match too. I hope you enjoy!
Party #1 - Girls Night
It should be a requirement that a girls only night is planned every year. Send the boys off together to see a movie, play video games, or go to a sports game (or whatever else sounds manly) and spend the evening in with your favorite ladies. There are 3 must haves for any girls night. Wine. Chocolate. and Face Masks. It's not a true girls night without one of the three. Girls nights are great to explore with new appetizers as well. Here are some appetizers you can choose from.
Cocktail Meatballs
Spinach and Artichoke Cups
Panchetta and melon Skewers
Dill Cucumber Bites
Caramel and Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods
Party #2 - Kid Friendly
Is it just me, or do you find it stressful knowing you'll have little eaters at your party? I'm not a parent yet, but I can imagine it's difficult to get these little ones to eat what's put on their plate.
If you're planning on having the whole family over and are wondering what appetizers to serve that are "kid friendly" check out the list below.
Chocolate Cookie Dough Dip
Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Smokies
Parmesan Tortellini Bites
Salami and Cream Cheese Bites (maybe leave the olives out of some)
Individual Shrimp Cocktails
Party #3 - Anniversary Cocktail Party This next cocktail party is where you can get fancy and definitely have people dress their best. Usually you stick to a solid color scheme, black, white and maybe one extra pop of color, like gold. We've stepped up our game a little bit with these hordureves.
Crab Cakes with aiole sauce
Mini Chicken Crapes
Well, there you have it! Three totally different parties all with different appetizers! Have you tried any of them before? Are you hungry yet?
