THROW A FRENCH INSPIRED DINNER FOR DEUX! (two)

Bonjour mes amis! (Hello my friends)

Have you ever wanted to throw a “cultural” dinner party but didn’t know where to start?

Maybe the idea of throwing a French themed dinner scares you…I’ll be honest, it scared me a little too. How do you make French food? What even IS French food?? Well friends, I’m here to tell you that it ISN’T scary and French cuisine can be SUPER simple to make. You’ve probably had all of these dishes at some point in your life and didn’t even know they were French!

As I was doing research for this dinner party, I found an article that helped me to realize how simple a French party can, and should be. “French tablescapes are natural, rustic, relaxed, and effortless.” says Sacha Strobe, owner of MyDomaine.

Rather than throwing a black and white striped table cloth over your red dishes and handing out beret's to all your guests, we definitely dialed it back with this simple French soiree.

Think of sitting along the country side overlooking the Trévaresse hilltops, feeling the warm wind flow through your hair while you sip a french cocktail with someone you love. Doesn’t that sound romantic??

For the menu,

Starters

Cucmber Blackberry salad with drizzled Honey & Balsamic

Main Dish

French Onion Pot Roast over Mashed Potatoes

Classic Ratatouille & French Bread

Dessert:

Chocolate Orange Madelines
